Instant Quote

Upload once, get a clearer tooling quote path

The instant quote workflow accepts drawings, catalog numbers, setup notes, and short machining problems. Seco Tools turns partial information into a structured conversation instead of asking you to solve the whole catalog first.

Four steps

How the quote is shaped

01

Upload or describe

Start with the file or note you already have. A perfect drawing is useful, but a clear problem statement can also begin the review.

02

Add machine context

Machine model, spindle interface, material, operation, finish, coolant, and quantity help avoid tool and holder mismatch.

03

Review assumptions

The response shows what is included, what is excluded, and which details still require buyer confirmation.

04

Confirm or revise

Upload a revised file, add an alternate tool preference, or convert the accepted response into a repeat-order reference.

A typical first quote includes line-item recommendations, application notes, lead-time assumptions, alternate options, and documentation flags. It may also include questions about tolerance, material batch, setup access, or inspection expectations. That is intentional. A quote that exposes uncertainty is usually more useful than a fast answer that hides risk until the tool arrives on the floor.

For regulated or customer-audited programs, use the message field to request FAI-ready notes, material trace language, PPAP-style purchasing context, or revision-controlled references. Seco Tools can prepare the quote conversation so the buyer, engineer, machinist, and quality reviewer are not reading four different stories.

Quote FAQ

What buyers usually ask first

Can I revise a submitted file?

Yes. Include the revision note and what changed. The response can separate old assumptions from new ones.

What costs may be outside the first quote?

Expedited freight, taxes, duties, custom gauges, validation runs, and buyer-specific documentation can be separate unless listed.

Can I ask for alternates?

Yes. Note approved brands, no-substitute items, and where an equivalent may be acceptable.

"The quote reply showed our missing assumptions before procurement sent the order."

Devon Price, Manufacturing Engineer, Helioturn Labs Inc.

"We used the same reference package for the pilot build and the first repeat order."

Priya Shah, Buyer, Alton Motion Systems LLC

"The holder compatibility note saved a week of internal back-and-forth."

Lucas Meyer, NPI Lead, North Bridge Automation GmbH
